Border officers seized $1.3 million in cocaine from a trailer at a South Texas port of entry. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a 48-year-old Paris-bound businessman, Emmanuel Orjinze, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport with 111 wraps of cocaine, which he excreted. Additionally, the NDLEA intercepted UK-bound cocaine concealed in buckets of shea butter. The agency also busted a drug trafficking syndicate at Lagos Airport, arresting four members. Police seized 623kg of cocaine hidden in a banana shipment.
