
Investors in African startups are optimistic about a return to dealmaking as investment capital flows back into the sector. Despite a 22% drop in overall funding for climate tech startups between 2022 and 2023, the number of debt deals increased, with 1 in every $3 invested into startups in Africa going into climate tech in 2023.
