Kenyan authorities have made significant progress in tackling fraud and crime in recent days. A city gold scamming ring has been dismantled, with 14 suspects arrested in connection to a USD 1.35 million gold scam after weeks of surveillance. In a separate incident, a suspect named Duke Ochego was apprehended in Ongata Rongai for his involvement in an M-Pesa fraud syndicate. The arrest followed a public alert to police officers, leading to Ochego's capture after being caught on CCTV. Additionally, two medics were arrested in Kilifi for allegedly selling stolen government drugs worth Ksh 100,000, further highlighting ongoing issues with corruption and crime in the region.
