In the week ending February 15, 2025, African markets showed varied performance. Malawi's MSE ASI emerged as the top gainer, increasing by 5.64% to close at 245,870.36 points. Conversely, Zambia's LuSE ASI was the top decliner, falling 0.34% to 15,428.04 points. In Kenya, the NSE 20 index rose by 1.29%, while the NASI index increased by 1.18%. Notable stock movements included EA Portland Cement, which gained 17.9%, and Uchumi Supermarket, which declined by 21.1%. Foreign investors sold KES 957.3 million worth of shares, and equity turnover decreased by 30.3% to KES 1.90 billion. Bond turnover also fell by 20.3% to KES 31.0 billion.
