Swan Chain has received a grant of 500,000 OP tokens from OptimismGov in Cycle 27 Grants to boost Superchain’s TVL to $6 million, accelerate AI infrastructure development, and enhance DeFi integrations. Base is hosting a series of regional buildathons in Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, offering 100 ETH in prizes. The Africa buildathon, known as the Base Africa Buildathon, will feature prominent local builders such as Yoseph Ayele from Borderless Africa, Yele Bademosi from Onboard Global, Roger Taracha from Yellow Card App, and Femi Adegolu. Base also received a grant of 3 million OP tokens (~$5 million USDC) from OptimismGov to kick off an incentive program rewarding DeFi builders on its platform.
