Software development platform Cursor has integrated GPT-5, the newest large language model geared toward code generation and assistance. The company said on 7 August that GPT-5 is now the default engine on its service and called it the most capable coding model the team has tested. Cursor is offering access to GPT-5 at no charge for a limited time, positioning the rollout as a trial period while developers evaluate the upgrade. The firm did not specify how long the free window will remain in place or whether tiered pricing will follow.
