o3-deep-research and o4-mini-deep-research models have appeared. Something to do with the API? https://t.co/760gmZzqEy
OpenAI introduced two “deep-research” versions of its large-language models—o3-deep-research-2025-06-26 and o4-mini-deep-research—aimed at more demanding analytical tasks. The release adds webhooks for real-time API event notifications and extends built-in web search to the o3, o3-pro and o4-mini models. Deep-research usage is priced at $10 per million input tokens and $40 per million output tokens, while web-search tool calls now cost $10 per 1,000 queries, reflecting a price cut. The company also set Oct. 6, 2025 for its next DevDay in San Francisco. OpenAI expects more than 1,500 developers to attend the in-person event, which will feature a livestreamed keynote and expanded hands-on sessions showcasing the new models and tools.
