ChatGPT has surpassed 400 million weekly active users, marking a substantial increase from 100 million users reported in November 2023. This growth represents a month-over-month increase of approximately 15.5%. The platform now accounts for about 7.2% of global internet users. In contrast, at the end of 2024, ChatGPT had 15.8 million paid subscribers, which was only 0.3% of global internet users and 4.5% of its December 2024 weekly active users. Additionally, traffic from ChatGPT to the top 14 publishers globally increased eightfold, rising from 435,000 visits in August to 3.5 million visits in January 2025, although this still represents less than 0.1% of all visits.
