Google has introduced a new tool called Illuminate, which is an enhanced version of NotebookLM. Illuminate aims to assist in generating AI-style podcasts from research papers and other sources. Users have noted that while Illuminate offers a better user interface and user experience compared to NotebookLM, it is limited to certain sources and lacks speed control over the generated podcasts. Despite these limitations, Illuminate has been praised for its potential use cases and ability to generate engaging content. Some users have experimented with integrating background music into AI-style podcasts generated by NotebookLM, further enhancing the listening experience.
