OpenAI has expanded access to its Codex AI model by making it available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The update, announced on June 3 and 4, 2025, includes new features such as internet access for Codex, which is disabled by default due to associated risks. Additional improvements include the ability to update existing pull requests instead of creating new ones and enabling single sign-on (SSO) for organizations without requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA). This rollout aims to enhance the functionality and user experience for developers and users subscribed to the Plus tier.
