OpenAI has introduced an Advanced Voice Mode for ChatGPT, enhancing its capabilities with new voices and emotional awareness. The feature has impressed users, including CEO Sam Altman, who noted that the advanced voice features were so convincing that he mistook them for human interaction. Some users, however, have pointed out limitations, such as the Advanced Voice Mode not having access to all functionalities of ChatGPT without it. Additionally, comparisons have been made between OpenAI's Voice Mode API and other voice agent APIs. This new mode is expected to be available to ChatGPT users this fall.
