A new artificial-intelligence platform called Proactor has been unveiled, billed by its developers as the world’s first “proactive” AI agent. Unlike conventional chatbots that respond only after receiving a prompt, Proactor monitors ongoing conversations, transcribes them in real time and injects context-relevant information or suggestions without being asked. According to launch materials, the system is both context-aware and memory-augmented, allowing it to recall earlier parts of a discussion and anticipate users’ information needs. The developers say the technology is aimed at boosting workplace productivity and collaboration by acting as an autonomous teammate that summarizes dialogue, supplies background data and flags action items as meetings unfold.
