A recent analysis by Keyrock reveals that the majority of cryptocurrency airdrops in 2024 have experienced significant declines in value. Out of 62 airdrops analyzed, only 8 showed positive returns after 90 days, with 4 on Ethereum and 4 on Solana. Solana had a 25% hit rate, and Ethereum had a 14.8% hit rate. The tokens with the highest fully diluted valuations (FDV) suffered the most severe price drops. Airdrops distributing more than 10% of their total supply demonstrated better long-term performance and community retention, while those distributing less than 5% faced quick sell-offs. Ethereum projects have proven more resilient compared to those on Solana and BNB Chain amid overall market struggles.
