WalletConnect, a Web3 protocol enabling wallets like MetaMask to connect to decentralized applications, has launched its first airdrop season. As part of this initiative, 50 million WCT tokens will be distributed on the Optimism Layer 2 network. The total supply of WCT tokens is 1 billion, with 185 million allocated for airdrops. In this first season, 50 million tokens are available for eligible participants. Notably, AragonProject DAOs are the first and currently the only DAOs eligible to claim rewards through WalletConnect. Eligible users and DAOs can check their eligibility and claim their tokens through the WalletConnect platform. A gas fee of 0.00004ETH applies to the airdrop.
