Court experts updated the amount from the 2022 corruption verdict, warning that assets ranging from cash holdings to more than 200 properties could be seized and auctioned if the payment is not made. Separately, the Tribunal Oral Federal 4 unified earlier sentences against construction magnate Lázaro Báez, a central figure in the same public-works network, ordering him to serve 15 years in prison. The ruling merges his 10-year conviction for money laundering in the “Ruta del Dinero K” investigation with a six-year term for fraudulent administration in Vialidad, and imposes an additional fine equivalent to six times the laundered sum, or US$54.8 million.
