Chile’s second annual Travel Sale opened on 25 August and will run through 27 August, offering steep travel discounts as industry bodies seek to spur demand in the low season. The online event is organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago, the Asociación Chilena de Empresas de Turismo and FEDETUR, and features 35 participating brands ranging from airlines to cruise operators and car-rental firms. Promotions advertised across the platform include airfare reductions of up to 70 percent and cruise savings of as much as 60 percent. Sky Airline is cutting domestic fares by up to 71 percent, while LATAM is trimming prices by as much as 66 percent on domestic routes and 50 percent on selected international destinations. In Argentina, Aerolíneas Argentinas is giving 10–20 percent discounts and interest-free instalment plans, with some one-way domestic tickets priced from 18,000 pesos. Cruise specialist Interexpress is promoting a four-night Caribbean sailing from Fort Lauderdale for about US$300, and MSC Cruises is listing a seven-day Mediterranean voyage for roughly US$983. Organisers and consumer-protection agencies are urging buyers to compare offers, read cancellation policies carefully and verify vendors’ credentials to avoid fraud. The CCS notes that more than 14 million passengers flew to or from Chile in the first half of 2025, a record that the Travel Sale aims to build on by locking in advance bookings for the remainder of the year.
