Air India has rolled out two new separation schemes ahead of its merger with Vistara. The schemes include a Voluntary Retirement Scheme for non-flying staff with over five years of service and a Voluntary Separation Scheme for those with less. Approximately 500-600 employees out of a total of 18,000 from the two carriers are expected to be retired or separated. The merger has also resulted in Air India's code appearing more frequently on Vistara flights, causing some confusion among passengers due to price differences.
