The attack occurred on Tuesday amidst Lee's ongoing fraud trial, where he faces charges of embezzling approximately $826 million from Haru Invest users and suspending $1.05 billion in cryptocurrency withdrawals. The assailant, reportedly a man in his 50s and a former customer of the firm, was swiftly apprehended by authorities. Lee was rushed to the hospital following the attack, and his injuries were reported to be severe but not life-threatening.
