A newly discovered backdoor malware, named Msupedge, has been identified exploiting a PHP vulnerability, CVE-2024-4577, in a cyberattack on a Taiwanese university. This unseen Msupedge malware uses DNS tunneling, making it difficult to detect and posing a significant threat to organizations.
