This marks the third consecutive day of growth for Seoul shares. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index climbed to its highest level since July 19, closing up 0.77% at 39,910.55. The index briefly surpassed the 40,000 mark, driven by Wall Street gains and a weaker yen. Notable performers include SoftBank Group, which rose nearly 6%, and Chugai Pharmaceutical, which increased by almost 5%. The TOPIX index also saw a rise of 1%, reaching 2,733.81 at the morning open on October 15. Seoul shares unofficially closed up 1.02% on October 14.
