Thai billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi unveiled a plan to consolidate his energy and telecom businesses. The merger will create a new $20.5 billion firm aimed at simplifying the shareholding structure, increasing management efficiency, and improving business operations' flexibility. Additionally, Thai Beverage (ThaiBev), controlled by Thailand’s richest person, plans to offload its entire stake in Frasers Property, a Singapore-based real estate firm. ThaiBev is divesting its real estate assets in Frasers Property to hold more shares in Fraser and Neave, a Singapore drinks and food firm. The company has proposed a share swap with TCC Assets.
