The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating potential engine failures in more than 1.4 million Honda and Acura vehicles equipped with 3.5-liter V-6 engines manufactured between 2016 and 2020. The probe follows over 400 reports of engine problems, including approximately 3,000 complaints alleging failures due to faulty connecting rod bearings. The investigation covers various models from both Honda and Acura, with the agency reviewing the risk of engine malfunction that could affect vehicle safety. Separately, General Motors announced a recall of over 23,500 vehicles in the U.S. due to fuel leak issues, including thousands of Corvette models. Additionally, Ford Motor Company is recalling 355,656 vehicles in the United States because of faulty instrument panel displays that may fail to show critical information such as warning lights or speed, potentially increasing crash risks.
