Tesla has lifted the U.S. price of its top-tier Cybertruck, the tri-motor “Cyberbeast,” to $114,990 from $99,990—an increase of $15,000 that takes effect immediately on the company’s website. The higher price now includes a newly introduced Luxe Package that bundles supervised Full Self-Driving capability, free lifetime access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, four years of premium service coverage and lifetime Premium Connectivity. Prices for the Long Range rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive trims remain unchanged at $69,990 and $79,990, respectively. The move comes as Tesla works to improve margins on a model that has faced a slow production ramp, repeated recalls and softer-than-expected demand. Roughly 46,000 Cybertrucks built through late February were recalled in March, a figure that underscores deliveries well below Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk’s stated capacity of more than 125,000 units annually, with a goal of reaching 250,000 next year. The latest price rise pushes the flagship pickup far beyond Musk’s 2019 target of a roughly $40,000 entry price and widens the gap with lower-priced electric rivals such as Ford’s F-150 Lightning and General Motors’ Chevrolet Silverado EV.
Despite Dismal Sales, Tesla Thinks You'll Pay More for a Cybertruck https://t.co/RPrgarYc6o
Someone getting a sales promotion in the future doesn’t make my truck any worse This attitude makes me so sad. They need to sell as many Cybertrucks as possible. Raising the price is actually good for existing Cyberbeast owners resale value https://t.co/elckC3UidD
