Tesla Rebounds After $348.08 Trade Amid Volatile Market, Robotaxi and Model S/X Updates Highlighted

On May 30, 2025, Tesla Inc. (TSLA) experienced significant volatility as U.S. equity markets erased early gains of nearly 500 points by the end of the trading session. Tesla's stock price dropped about $5 in one minute, with trades reported at $348.08, amid unusual trading activity. Despite widespread end-of-month selling attributed to institutional portfolio adjustments, Tesla was noted as the only major stock to rebound by the close. Some market participants suggested that such patterns often set up a potential bounce in early June, with the S&P 500 (SPX) possibly testing 5800. In the electric vehicle sector, Tesla developments included a refreshed Model S/X, the anticipated rollout of a robotaxi service, and ongoing self-driving tests. There was also mention of Elon Musk's return and an intensifying electric vehicle price war, particularly in China.
