WeRide, in partnership with Lenovo and powered by NVIDIA, has launched the HPC 3.0 platform, featuring the latest NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor X chips. This high-performance computing platform delivers 2,000 TOPS and is integrated into WeRide's Robotaxi GXR, the first mass-produced Level 4 autonomous vehicle equipped with the Thor setup. The new system reduces the autonomous driving suite costs by 50%, cuts mass production costs by 75%, and lowers total cost of ownership by 84% compared to the previous HPC 2.0 platform, enabling more cost-effective large-scale deployment. Separately, AEye's Apollo lidar has been fully integrated into NVIDIA's DRIVE AGX platform, offering a 1-kilometer range, a compact form factor, and software-defined capabilities for behind-windshield integration. This integration positions AEye as a significant contributor to the future of autonomous driving technology and provides it access to automakers through NVIDIA's platform.
