The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh has reinstated the jobs of 1,137 candidates from the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, who were previously disqualified 17 years ago. The court allowed three separate review petitions filed on behalf of these candidates, challenging an earlier verdict that had annulled a High Court ruling in their favor. The decision was announced following a hearing led by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed. This ruling is seen as a significant development in the long-standing legal battle of the affected candidates, who have been seeking justice for nearly two decades.
