The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has experienced an upward trend for the third consecutive session, with all three indices rising during the initial hour of trading on January 22, 2025. However, on January 23, while the DSE continued to see gains, the Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) faced a sharp decline. Following a previous day's downturn, stocks on the DSE recovered, with total turnover reaching Tk 99.53 crore. Notably, the share price of Malek Spinning surged by 9.66 percent to Tk 26.1 during mid-day trading. Despite these movements, foreign investors have retreated from the capital market, withdrawing funds after a brief comeback post the ouster of the Hasina government on August 5.
