Google’s AI Model DolphinGemma Uses Decades of Underwater Audio to Decode Dolphin Communication Enabling Two-Way Interaction

Google is leveraging artificial intelligence to decode and understand dolphin communication. Using decades of underwater audio recordings, researchers have developed an AI model named DolphinGemma that analyzes patterns in dolphin clicks and whistles. This technology aims to pave the way for two-way interaction between humans and dolphins by replicating their communication methods. The project highlights the potential of AI in unlocking complex animal languages and enhancing cross-species communication.
