Bittensor, a decentralized AI platform, has launched a major network upgrade known as Dynamic TAO (dTAO). This upgrade enhances the functionality of subnets within the Bittensor ecosystem, allowing individual subnets to become investible for the first time. This development is expected to attract new capital into the ecosystem. The launch of dTAO has been described as the biggest update to Bittensor and a significant milestone, comparable to major upgrades in other blockchain networks, with only 9 months remaining until the first halvening. ROKO DAO, a participant in the Bittensor network, has announced plans to optimize its stake of 884 TAO using dTAO, with 75% allocated to Subnet-0 for stability and core network security, and 25% distributed across other subnets to drive AI innovation. Additionally, OSS Capital has announced a doubling of its investment in Bittensor, bringing its total commitment to $50 million, marking the largest investment in Bittensor since the protocol's inception. The launch of dTAO has also prompted a livestream takeover to discuss its implications and Bittensor's strategic vision, emphasizing the ethos of 'scale or die'.
