Celestia has launched its mamo-1 public testnet, which features 128MB blocks and achieves a data throughput of 21.33MB/s. This new testnet is designed to enhance scalability and represents a significant advancement in modular blockchain technology, boasting 16 times the throughput of Celestia's mainnet. The development follows over a year of research and engineering efforts aimed at creating a new block propagation protocol that supports this high-speed performance. The launch of mamo-1 is expected to push the limits of data processing capabilities within the blockchain ecosystem.
