Coinbase's Base blockchain has introduced Basenames, a new service for creating human-readable blockchain addresses. Basenames, which are base.eth subdomains, allow users to mint unique names powered by the Ethereum Name Service (ENS). This service aims to make crypto addresses easier to read and function as an onchain resume, where users can link their skills and social profiles. The launch was announced during Coinbase’s BaseCamp livestream, and users can also claim names on networks like Farcaster.
