The attacker exploited a vulnerability that bypassed the token's transfer restrictions, enabling them to send unlaunched tokens to a PancakeSwap pair address that had not yet been created. As a result, the platform has announced compensation for affected users. Additionally, the EOS blockchain is currently experiencing an address poisoning attack, where malicious accounts are sending 0.001 EOS tokens to users in an attempt to deceive them. This attack has raised concerns about security on the EOS network, as fake accounts impersonating legitimate trading platforms have been identified.
