Solayer Labs has announced the tokenomics for its upcoming token, $LAYER, which will have a total supply of 1 billion tokens and an initial circulation of 220 million tokens. The airdrop for $LAYER is set to go live on February 11, 2025, with over 250,000 users eligible to participate. An eligibility checker will be available on February 7, and an allocation checker will follow on February 10. The token generation event (TGE) and claiming process will open on February 11 and will remain available for 30 days. Notably, the airdrop will come with a lockup period, allowing 55% of the tokens to be claimable at TGE, while 45% will be locked. The $LAYER token is positioned as the native governance token for the Solayer ecosystem, which is focused on building a restaking network on the Solana blockchain.
