





Embraer SA reported a significant increase in its financial performance for 2024, with an adjusted net profit soaring by 680% to reach 2.6 billion reais. The company's fourth-quarter net income also tripled to 1.093 billion reais, reflecting robust growth in its operations. In the fourth quarter, Embraer achieved an earnings per share (EPS) of $0.94 and revenue of $2.31 billion, surpassing expectations. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer's revenue for the year hit a record high of 35.4 billion reais, up 35.7% from the previous year. In the fourth quarter alone, revenue reached 13.7 billion reais, a 41.3% increase year-over-year. Embraer's adjusted EBITDA for the year rose by 87% to 5.153 billion reais, with the fourth quarter's adjusted EBITDA at $325 million and an EBITDA margin of 14.2%. The company's record-high backlog reached $26.3 billion, a 40% increase year-over-year. Embraer's stock surged on the Brazilian stock exchange following the announcement of these results, driven by the prospect of resuming dividend payments, which have been on hold since 2018. The company's CEO, Francisco Gomes Neto, indicated that Embraer now has the financial capacity to pay dividends, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming assembly in April. The company is also using AI to address supply chain bottlenecks. Looking ahead, Embraer anticipates further growth in 2025, projecting revenue between US$7 billion and US$7.5 billion and planning to increase aircraft deliveries. The company expects to deliver between 77 and 85 commercial jets and 145 to 155 executive jets next year. In the fourth quarter of 2024, Embraer delivered 75 jets, with commercial deliveries up 24% year-over-year and Defense & Security revenue growing by 40% year-over-year.
