
JBS, the world's largest meatpacker, reported a net revenue of R$ 417 billion for 2024, reflecting a 14.6% increase from the previous year. The company achieved a net profit of R$ 2.4 billion in the fourth quarter, driven primarily by strong demand for chicken and pork, which helped mitigate challenges in its U.S. beef sector. JBS noted advancements across all its business units, with robust performance in the U.S., Seara, and Brazil. Meanwhile, Sabesp reported a net income of R$ 1.4 billion in the fourth quarter, marking a 21% annual increase. The company also experienced a significant rise in its stock price following these positive earnings results. Additionally, Vocento announced a loss of R$ 97 million in 2024, attributed to various extraordinary impairments, and decided to close its sports media outlet, Relevo, less than three years after its launch.
