Brazilian software maker Totvs SA is looking at additional acquisition targets in 2025 even as it continues exclusive negotiations to buy StoneCo’s Linx retail-software unit, Chief Executive Officer Dennis Herszkowicz said in an interview. He emphasized that the company has sufficient resources to finance prospective deals and does not plan to divest assets, including its stake in the fintech joint venture Dimensa, to raise cash. Herszkowicz added that bringing Linx under Totvs would strengthen the group’s position with Brazilian retailers, but he stressed the transaction is not essential to the company’s growth plans. StoneCo acquired Linx in 2020 for 6.7 billion reais (about US$1.22 billion). Totvs, which is prioritizing opportunities in its home market, is also investing in cloud services and artificial-intelligence tools, areas the CEO says are generating several acquisition openings. The company’s expansion drive comes amid accelerated demand for AI and digital solutions across Latin America.
