British activist Tommy Robinson will face no criminal charges over a July 28 altercation at London’s St Pancras International railway station that left a man hospitalised with head injuries, British Transport Police said on 27 August. Investigators compiled CCTV footage and witness accounts and referred the case to the Crown Prosecution Service. The CPS concluded there was “no realistic prospect of conviction,” noting that the alleged victim declined to provide a statement. As a result, police confirmed the matter is closed. Robinson, 42, was arrested on 4 August at Luton Airport on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after returning from Portugal. He had left the UK the morning after the incident, which was captured in videos circulating online. Robinson has maintained he acted in self-defence.
