A debt-ridden mortgage broker has been jailed for life after being convicted of murdering his 'gym bunny' wife to claim her life insurance payout. The court heard that the husband, described as a 'habitual and accomplished liar,' strangled his wife after sex and after ruling out killing her in a car crash. The motive behind the murder was to cash in on his wife's £450,000 life insurance policy and pay off his £300,000 debt. He has been sentenced to a minimum of 24 years in prison.
