
A former deputy manager at a Bristol care home, Nick Penevski from Macedonia, has been sentenced to 27 months in prison for stealing more than £40,000 from an elderly resident. Penevski used the victim's bank card to buy items including TVs and sunglasses. In a separate case, a former STV and BBC presenter from Edinburgh has been jailed for two years and three months for embezzling over £120,000 from her dementia-stricken mother. The presenter used the funds to finance a lavish lifestyle, including purchasing a £1,300 Mulberry bag and spending £13,600 on Amazon.
