High Court Rules Joey Barton's 'Bike Nonce' Posts Defamatory in Jeremy Vine Case

Jeremy Vine has won a preliminary judgment in his defamation case against Joey Barton. The High Court ruled that Barton's posts referring to Vine as a 'bike nonce' were defamatory. The court found that the term has paedophilic connotations, which were damaging to Vine's reputation. This ruling, under EWHC 1268 (KB), marks a significant victory for Vine in the libel showdown, with the final judgment still pending.
