NHS England has confirmed that patient data managed by blood test management organisation Synnovis was stolen in a ransomware attack on June 3. Leaked data on cancer patients and newborns indicate that the UK hospital hack was worse than initially disclosed. Russian hackers, part of a Kremlin-protected cyber army, are behind the NHS attack, aiming to destabilise the UK ahead of the election. They published tens of thousands of medical records from more than 400 hospitals and clinics, including those of cancer patients and pregnant women.
