Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo from Ligue 1 club Rennes for about €31.5 million (£26 million). The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year deal that keeps him at the City Ground until June 2030. Kalimuendo scored 17 goals in the French top flight last season and has 33 appearances for France’s under-21 side. A Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate, he spent the past three campaigns at Rennes, where he made 107 senior appearances. The move gives Forest added depth up front as the East Midlands club, which finished seventh in the Premier League last term, looks to sustain its push for European qualification. The transfer follows the arrivals of midfielders James McAtee and Omari Hutchinson earlier in the window.
