Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been voted the Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season, becoming the first footballer to claim the award three times after previous wins in 2018 and 2022. The 33-year-old Egypt international scored 29 league goals and supplied 18 assists as Liverpool secured the Premier League title by 10 points. His contribution also earned him the division’s Golden Boot, Playmaker award and the Premier League’s own Player of the Season accolade, completing an unprecedented personal treble in a single campaign. Salah topped a six-man shortlist that included teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Chelsea forward Cole Palmer. At the same ceremony, Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers collected the Young Player of the Year award, while Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey was named Women’s Player of the Year.
