DuPont de Nemours Inc. agreed to sell its aramids unit—home to the Kevlar and Nomex heat-resistant fiber brands—to fellow specialty-materials maker Arclin for $1.8 billion. The consideration comprises roughly $1.2 billion in cash at closing, a $300 million promissory note and a non-controlling equity interest in Arclin valued at about $325 million. The divestiture is part of DuPont’s broader portfolio reshaping aimed at focusing on higher-growth segments. The company said the transaction, expected to close in the first quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approvals, will not affect its previously announced plan to spin off its electronics business in November 2025.
DuPont said on Friday it will sell its heat-resistant fiber business, home to brands such as body armor maker Kevlar, to peer Arclin for $1.8 billion as the chemicals company undergoes a broader reorganization. https://t.co/ZKPdZLOzWR
