Honeywell International Inc. said it is evaluating strategic alternatives, including possible divestitures, for its transportation and logistics-focused operations. The review covers the company’s productivity, services, warehouse and workflow divisions, which sit within its broader transportation and logistics segment. The move is part of preparations for a previously announced plan to separate Honeywell into three standalone companies focused on aerospace, automation and advanced materials by next year. Management said assessing options for the transportation and logistics businesses will help sharpen the future portfolios of the successor companies and improve capital allocation. Shares of Honeywell rose in early trading after the announcement.
