Qualcomm Inc.'s interest in acquiring Intel Corp. has cooled, according to people familiar with the matter, potentially derailing what would have been one of the largest technology deals of all time. The complexities associated with acquiring all of Intel, including financial hurdles such as Intel's $50 billion debt, regulatory challenges, and Intel's ongoing revenue declines and layoffs, have made the deal less attractive to Qualcomm. CEO Cristiano Amon stated, "Right now, at this time, we have not identified any large acquisition."
