Vodafone Group Plc has appointed Pilar López as chief financial officer-designate with effect from 1 October 2025. She will succeed Luka Mucic, who is stepping down on 30 November. López will formally take the CFO role and join the board on 1 December 2025 after a hand-over period. López brings more than three decades of experience across technology and telecommunications, most recently serving as vice-president for Strategic Partnerships—LSEG Capital Markets at Microsoft. She previously led Microsoft Spain and has held senior posts at Telefónica, JP Morgan and Inditex. Chief Executive Officer Margherita Della Valle said López’s "deep-rooted knowledge of both the telecoms and technology sectors" would support Vodafone’s ongoing restructuring and drive for higher free cash flow. The management change follows Mucic’s announcement last month that he would leave after helping shape the group’s turnaround plan.
