AutoCanada has reported a ransomware attack by Hunters International that may impact employee data, following an IT breach in August. The dealership group has not confirmed being held for ransom. In a related incident, a Canadian school photo company revealed that hackers held Saskatchewan students' photos for ransom. Additionally, hackers claimed to have accessed Deloitte's intranet communications due to unchanged default credentials on an Apache Solr server. However, Deloitte has stated that there is no threat to client or other sensitive data. Hackers also published data stolen from the Providence Public School Department. Meanwhile, Richardson city servers were targeted in a hack, but sensitive data is believed to be safe.
