Authorities in four jurisdictions are investigating separate fatal motorcycle accidents reported between Aug. 24 and Aug. 26. In Brampton, Ontario, Peel Regional Police said a motorcyclist died after colliding with another vehicle near Heritage Road and Bovaird Drive around 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded Monday afternoon to a crash at Jones Boulevard and Eldora Avenue. The rider was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead, prompting a shutdown of Jones Boulevard between Sahara Avenue and Eldora Avenue while investigators examined the scene. In Ipswich, Massachusetts, the Essex County District Attorney’s Office identified the victim of a Sunday crash as 72-year-old Charles Parisi Jr. of Gloucester. Investigators say his motorcycle and a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 49-year-old Lynn man collided on Route 1A; Parisi was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver is cooperating with police. Thornton, Colorado, police reported that a 37-year-old motorcyclist died late Saturday after losing control near E. 104th Avenue and Fox Run Parkway. Investigators believe speed was a factor; the rider was not wearing a helmet, and witnesses said a black SUV may also have played a role. Police in all four locations have asked witnesses to come forward as they continue reconstructing the circumstances of the collisions.
