On July 16, the Dow Jones continued its upward trend, closing up 746.54 points, or 1.86%, at 40,958.26. The S&P 500 closed up 34.94 points, or 0.62%, at 5,666.16, and the NASDAQ closed up 36.56 points, or 0.20%, at 18,509.12. The Toronto Stock Index also saw a significant rise, closing up 243.71 points, or 1.07%, at 22,995.39. Additionally, the S&P 500 financial, health, and industrial sectors hit record highs. The Russell 2000 Index rose 3.50%, or 76.75 points, to 2263.7.
